Role Summary: This role is responsible for the overall accurate picking orders, shipping and receiving product and materials for the GE Lighting Master Distribution Center in Oakville Ontario.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will/are: • Accurately picking, palletizing & loading of product for shipment to consumer and industrial customers following customer and GE requirements • Unloading and receiving product and putting the stock away into warehouse locations • Operate Fork Truck for various warehouse tasks (current primary fork trucks used are Raymond Easi Reach) • Using a RF Scanner and a computer mounted to your fork truck to pick orders • Responsible for cycle counting and damaging out product when required • Compliance with GE EHS training, policies & programs, including use of appropriate PPE and completion of forklift inspections • The candidate must follow Company procedures and participate in Team Administrative duties • Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion at all times, and follow good housekeeping practices • Applicants must possess good mathematical skills and have the ability to accurately count product and materials • Working occasional overtime, particularly at quarter & year-end periods • Good Communication Skills are required • Other Related Duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements: • At least two years previous experience in shipping and receiving • Minimum grade 12 education • Must have basic computer skills (MS Office) • Forklift experience required • Experience using warehouse inventory management systems • Physically capable of frequent bending and lifting, and standing for the majority of your shift • Must be able to read and write English
