Role Summary: The Director, Capability and Analytics is a strategic position on the Technical Capability organization leading Strategic Workforce planning for O&G engineering employees globally. This entails utilizing training, data and tools to build competencies and manage knowledge risk. The position will report directly into the Technical Capability leader.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will collaborate with the reps across the product companies and chief engineers, to define the key capabilities needed, assess current competency and develop plans to ensure avenues for our workforce development. You will also partner with the Product Company reps and Human Resources on developing the technical career strategy for the Oil & Gas Engineering function. You will drive consistent quality, competitiveness, and operational excellence at a global level.
In the role of Director, Capability and Analytics, you will:
Partner with business leaders to identify, analyze, and prioritize competencies and capabilities needed during both organic and inorganic growth
Build and launch competency framework, supporting processes and tools
Partner with Product company reps on mapping the Digital Capabilities, Model Based Enterprise and Digital Twin
Use business and industry trends to understand the new capabilities required for the future engineer, and build a framework to develop these capabilities in our engineering team
Be responsible for leading Knowledge Management and Knowledge Transfer initiatives throughout the Engineering function by building a culture of collaboration
Partner with Chief engineers to develop technical career path aligned to the competency framework
Develop new models and tools fostering innovation and delivery collaboration across the engineering organization
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge and experience
Strong technology leadership experience
EU Work Permit (if hired in Italy)
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others
Experience working with or knowledge of Strategic Workforce planning tools
Six Sigma Black Belt; Experienced with key business tools such as Change Acceleration (CAP), LEAN, etc. to support decision and change
Demonstrated experience working effectively across multiple functions and matrix environments
Demonstrated organizational leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities while driving growth
Proven ability to champion new ideas, with strong execution skills and proven ability to translate ideas into actions
Strong communicator who conveys credibility, trustworthiness and passion to a wide variety of audiences, including customers and employees at all levels of the organization
Strong business acumen and customer mindset
