Role Summary:
The Analytics Technical Leader is responsible for identifying and developing Analytics for GE Power Services team in Latin America. The Technical Leader will identify and develop mathematical algorithms to support Power Services Predictivity efforts and use data to extract knowledge. Additionally, the candidate will advance the analytic state of the art for Aero derivative engines.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Work with Program Managers to execute on programs needed to meet the Analytics/Predictivity Strategy for Power Services.
• Identify Analytics needs for Latin America PS customers
• Develop advanced prognostic algorithms and modeling framework for computing condition-based residual life of Power Services Aero Equipment components and systems.
• Mentor others towards Analytics development, per program requirements.
• Develop analytics to model risk associated with service contracts on Power Services Aero Equipment.
• Develop working analytics prototypes using programming languages like Matlab, R, Python, Predix, etc.
• Validate analytics developed using real world data and quantify gaps and mitigating actions
• Collaborate with System team to help integrate analytics within existing system platforms
• Clearly communicate program status, issues, risks, plans, etc. to senior management.
• Work with established program needs (funding, resources, timing, etc) and priority.
• Work with analytic development engineers in Power Services and with partners (Global Research Center, University Partnerships, and 3rd Party Suppliers) to advance Power Services analytic capabilities.
• Develop Intellectual Property and publish technical papers related to analytics.
• Assist with documenting processes and preserving knowledge in the organization.
• Coordinates program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, developing implementation, testing and training plans and ensuring the successful transition to support and maintenance teams
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Deploy analytics to the entire fleet.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or related field plus 6 years of experience or Master’s degree in related field plus 4 years of experience in related field or PhD degree in related field plus 2 years of experience.
• >5 years’ experience in analytics development
• Deep knowledge regarding development of algorithms or analytics.
• Deep experience with Statistical and analytic programming design and technologies (MATLAB, R, and other simulation/data analysis tools)
• Affinity to design analytics on a high quality and maintainability level.
• Strong analytical ability in statistics, signal processing, machine learning and related technologies
• Comfortable in an international environment and have good oral and written communication skills in English for technical presentations.
• Global mindset with ability to work effectively under direction of project managers and technical leaders located in remote office
• Strong communication skills
• Experience/familiarity with Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics
• Equipment operations, service or engineering experience on LM6000, LM2500, LMS100 or Heavy duty units.
Mexican Labor Visa is required.

Desired Characteristics:
• Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• Familiarity in dealing with large time series data sets (Big Data)
• Knowledge about industrial control / SCADA systems
• Experience with actuarial modeling
• Understanding of GE Contractual Service Agreements
• Experience/familiarity with Cloud Computing
• Black Belt Certification
