Role Summary: Description: The Transducer CoE Leader is responsible for developing a vision and leading operations and manufacturing technology development for the transducer product component for the global Ultrasound business. In full partnership with the Global Ultrasound Probes CTO, they will provide technical leadership for the production teams, and drive manufacturing excellence through new processes and methods that will improve product quality, manufacturing productivity and reduce product cost.
Essential Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include: • Setting the strategy and direction of the business and driving continuous improvement of systems, products and processes across the Transducer Center of Excellence. • Partner with Global Ultrasound Probes technology team in developing manufacturing technology solutions and drive standardization globally across all transducer manufacturing sites. • Driving operations, technology and process development teams towards execution of Business Goals using Product Quality, Six Sigma, Lean and e-manufacturing methodology. • Driving improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production. • Ensuring sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments per the OPSI plan • Lead Product component cost initiatives to drive low ICV’s through technology and manufacturing innovation. • Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality in all areas for the Quality Management System in GEHC. Ensure that the organizational design, functional expertise, and manufacturing and engineering process experience of the technology team is positioned for excellence. • Create Environmental, Health & Safety culture and drive for continuous improvement. • Drive budget control, manufacturing design, technology differentiation, functional excellence and teamwork. • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills to drive operations, innovation, functional excellence, and collaboration with both internal and external partners.
Quality Specific Goals: • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required • Knowledge and understanding of production process Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications • Ensures the creation of accurate, complete and timely records and DHRs
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related field (Engineering/Technology) • Minimum of 7 years of industrial experience in a manufacturing environment. • Demonstrated experience owning production processes, and growing capability, yield and quality. • Strong Six Sigma skills in DMAIC • Strong communication Skills, written and verbal. • Demonstrated ability to develop metrics and consolidate /distill data for both upward and horizontal interpretation. • Good Strategic Thinker; Strong Influencing Skills; Resourceful and Inclusive. Comfortable working thru pushback. • Experience working with global teams • Willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications: • 10+ years industrial experience in Manufacturing Engineering • 6-sigma DMAIC BB/MBB certified • Experiences in HLA and Process Intensive manufacturing • Product and Process Development experience • Solid working knowledge of GEHC QMS procedures for GMP • Experienced owning business initiatives and driving behavior of large teams • Experienced developing tools and templates • Demonstrated program or project management skills • Working knowledge of GEHC IT Tools and Mfg Systems. • Experience developing SW requirements and supporting SW developments
