Role Summary: The Boiler/HRSG Project Engineer will be responsible for technical coordination of project execution team and of proposal team. In addition, he will act as a liaison for engineering questions from customers.
Overall coordination of all technical scopes and disciplines of Boiler / HRSG project execution (or proposal)
Ensuring that engineering costs, time schedule meets all project requirements such as customer KPI, relevant engineering standards and codes, EHS, functional safety and quality standards
Actively managing all technical interfaces and ensuring efficient collaboration of involved internal engineering units and external subcontractors.
Point of contact towards the Customer for technical issues related with project.
Ensuring technical issues and risks are addressed timely and adequate action plans are defined to minimize project impact.
Defines and clarifies open items/deviations with the PM, Project Engineering Team, and Customer.
Prepare and perform Boiler/HRSG inspection, issuing a dedicated life time assessment report.
Reviews and manages the complete engineering budget
Reports claims against Customer and suppliers to PM.
Has overall technical leadership & enforces timely issuance of technical documentation for the project.
Clarifies & supports site in all technical issues & coordinates with the respective team.
Coordinates submission of engineering documents to Customer or Local Authorities
Up to 30 % travelling
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong technical experience in Boiler/HRSG service / upgrades including technical coordination of the engineering activities, as well as Boiler/HRSG ispection activities and integrity assessment reporting.
Significant experience in an engineering capacity in either boilers, air quality controls systems, process engineering for power plants
Experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams at various locations
Fluent in written and spoken English
EU work permit
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interface and influence all levels of the customer’s organization as well as other functions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Clear understanding of priorities and urgency, as base for efficient decision making
Ability to develop creative and innovative concepts, addressing multi-dimensional requirements (technical, commercial, competitive, organizational)
Specific knowledge on Boiler and HRSG
Strong focus on Customer: propose or anticipate valid technical solution for his needs.
