Role Summary: As a VP of User Experience, you will combine your leadership and digital technology expertise to advance GE’s brand strategies. You will shape and develop the user experience talent and talent pipeline. You will use facts and expertise to influence senior leaders. You will directly contribute to strategic decision making related to user experience and GE products, building the future of digital technology at GE.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will:
Oversee a digital technology organization, including shaping strategy and developing talent
Use advanced analytical thought and knowledge of industry/competitors to make complex judgments, often with incomplete information
Create a vision for the future using an understanding of internal and industry trends, and shape a strategy to execute that vision
Partner with executive leaders to understand business needs and create strategy to address those needs
Evangelize the UX practice internally and externally
Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial Design preferred or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) or related field; or 4 years of equivalent work experience
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in user experience ,li>A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in people management

Demonstrates detailed knowledge of how industry trends & competitive landscape impact GE.
Partners with business leaders to align strategic projects with business objectives.
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction, including merger and acquisition opportunities.
Identifies cross cutting business needs that intend to leverage similar technologies.
Sees patterns within industry issues.
Identifies new project opportunities based on design thinking principles and prior outcomes.
Translates the realistic and creative ideas into plans and actions. Thinks beyond boundaries to create vision.
