Role Summary: The Electrician will install, repair and maintain all electrical and mechanical systems and equipment. In this role you will drive cycle time improvements and EHS actions and design and implement necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvements. In addition you will Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical / electronic systems, circuits and equipment and be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Perform a variety of complicated tasks
Utilize a certain degree of creativity and latitude
Direct and lead the work of others when required
Report to a supervisor / manager
Make comprehensive inspection using a variety of inspection instruments and gauges to detect malfunctions
Analyze and diagnose cause of malfunctions, failures, and repetitive manufacturing problems, and recommend and implement proper corrective action
Perform analysis using technical lab equipment to monitor chemical analysis, grain structure and chemical composition
Manage new development of chemical processes and mixtures
Analyze malfunctions and execute the repair of control systems, and install, maintain, or modify such systems
Perform facilities and equipment maintenance, as needed
Work with and help in all areas of maintenance
Plan, layout, rig, move, erect, and install complex equipment and machinery, overhead cranes, etc.
Keep work areas and equipment clean and operating safely
Train others as necessary
Participate in and own environmental, health, and safety initiatives and performance throughout the plant
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to improve quality and product flow
Participate in lean initiatives, using 6 Sigma tools for process improvements
Identify and implement kaizens for continuous improvement Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Completed an apprenticeship and / or formal training in area of specialty
Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends
Associates Degree in a related discipline
Minimum of 2 years of industry experience
Experience in mechanical and electrical field
Certified training, experience or certificate and degree program
