Role Summary:
Provide direct customer interface in support of sales representative working in various market areas.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Technical Support Specialist, you will:

  • Attend customer meetings with corporate sales to close sales opportunities
  • Develop & deliver effective technical presentations
  • Provide detailed technical support to corporate sales and customers
  • Interface between GE engineering and customer engineering teams
  • Initiate and oversee internal engineering work on enhancements of existing systems or new designs
  • Produce technical documents & sales literature, build and maintain a sales library
  • Conduct product training for corporate and field sales
  • Facilitate & expedite model printing, update model contents with applicable components
  • Review RFQ’s and use product line knowledge to select products to be offered on quotations
  • Use knowledge of API 6A materials & manufacturing for cost estimating of components on quotations
  • Establish & maintain new product pricing on components & systems as required
  • Assist technical writing team as needed with Running Procedures
  • Conduct system-focused field service training on new products at branch locations
  • Participate in product launch and the commercialization process of newly developed projects
  • Lead product training for new project implementation

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution and minimum 7 years of experience working with surface wellhead equipment and supporting customer operations/requirements)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with surface wellhead equipment and supporting customer operations/requirements

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel to customer offices or field locations, as required

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of Surface wellhead products and their application in drilling, fracturing and completions
  • Knowledge of Drilling rig equipment and tooling and how these interface with wellhead installations
  • Knowledge of Drilling practices for multi-well pad operations including: batch drilling, well control, temporary abandonment and associated methods
