Role Summary: Provide direct customer interface in support of sales representative working in various market areas.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Technical Support Specialist, you will:
Attend customer meetings with corporate sales to close sales opportunities
Provide detailed technical support to corporate sales and customers
Interface between GE engineering and customer engineering teams
Initiate and oversee internal engineering work on enhancements of existing systems or new designs
Produce technical documents & sales literature, build and maintain a sales library
Conduct product training for corporate and field sales
Facilitate & expedite model printing, update model contents with applicable components
Review RFQ’s and use product line knowledge to select products to be offered on quotations
Use knowledge of API 6A materials & manufacturing for cost estimating of components on quotations
Establish & maintain new product pricing on components & systems as required
Assist technical writing team as needed with Running Procedures
Conduct system-focused field service training on new products at branch locations
Participate in product launch and the commercialization process of newly developed projects
Lead product training for new project implementation
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution and minimum 7 years of experience working with surface wellhead equipment and supporting customer operations/requirements)
Minimum 3 years of experience working with surface wellhead equipment and supporting customer operations/requirements
Ability and willingness to travel to customer offices or field locations, as required
Knowledge of Surface wellhead products and their application in drilling, fracturing and completions
Knowledge of Drilling rig equipment and tooling and how these interface with wellhead installations
Knowledge of Drilling practices for multi-well pad operations including: batch drilling, well control, temporary abandonment and associated methods
