GE is looking for a Marketing Manager to join its emerging industrial inspections business team. As an integral member of the marketing team, the Marketing Manager will take responsibility for working with the marketing, business development, and sales teams to attract potential customers for the business. The role is primarily a sales support function, working with internal sales teams in developing presentation collateral for meetings events targeting existing partners and customers.
You’ll be responsible for specifically coordinating marketing efforts including developing marketing and sales tools, assisting in targeted sales programs, as well as developing training materials, and meeting presentations.
Get a deep understanding of GE’s product offering and product strategy for the industrial inspection marketplace
Ability to influence a diverse stakeholder group through strong verbal and written communication skills
Effectively manage third-party partners supporting marketing and operational strategies
Drive the development of sales collateral including PowerPoint presentations to be used in customer sales meetings, and templated content for use in sales kits
Partner with marketing leadership to develop storyboards and user flows, as well as write copy for digital assets, including Web sites and videos
Create new creative assets, including infographics, using the existing brand style guide
Own and manage the brand creative and usage style guides
Identify and collate published evidence to support Inspection’s value proposition, including case studies and white papers
A Bachelor’s Degree is required, ideally in marketing, business or related field
4+ years of experience marketing software & hardware technology products and solutions
Experience in design tools, including Photoshop
Legal authorization to work in the U.S is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Knowledge of enterprise software, analytics and sensor/monitoring technologies would be extremely helpful
Demonstrate domain expertise in GE industrial businesses including energy, water, transportation and digital to drive on-going pipeline of ideas to connect market trends and business needs
Experience in sales support, project management and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives
Able to quickly assimilate knowledge about new industry sectors and technologies
Experience working for a start-up company or environment developing and launching a new product
Able to work in a team environment, as well as autonomously
Extensive experience building strong relationships with partners including external agencies and internal GE constituents
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Expert Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills
Strong problem solving skills
Straightforward, open-minded, non-hierarchical
Excellent ability to effectively interface with customers
Able to work successfully in a large, highly-matrixed organization
