Role Summary:
GE Ventures is creating a “Newco”, GEBeyond and is seeking to hire a Sales Director. This Start-up will have access to unparalleled resources through GE’s Global Research Center, GE Digital, GE Aviation Systems (GEAS) and GE’s IoT platform, Predix, NBC team leverages GE’s operational excellence, brand and scale to create options for breakout growth.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Sales Director will be a key member of the GEBeyond leadership team and will:
  • Serve as a key and active member of the senior leadership team.
  • Provide input to all strategic product roadmaps and all new product development projects leading to direct development of the strategic sales and marketing plans required to meet annual business targets and financial objectives.
  • Lead the process for the continuous evaluation of trends and adjust strategy to capitalize on shifts in the marketplace, including the process of obtaining and disseminating competitive intelligence across all markets and product lines.
  • Create and manage multiple channel selling strategies.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, hire and train a sales team who will execute developed sales strategies.
  • Overall responsibility for the GEBeyond Profit/Loss Statement.
  • Own customer relationships, build new customer relationships.
  • Effectively communicate the technical qualities of products and services.
  • Lead by example, mentor for growth and success in a collaborative and inclusive manner by dramatically presenting and positioning the sales value proposition


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering. Minimum 8 years of international sales experience.
  • Minimum 10 + years’ experience in building, leading, and mentoring a high performing team.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel.


Desired Characteristics:
  • Excellent organizational skills to ensure effective planning and management of opportunities through a strategic sales process.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate, mentor, support and evaluate the sales team.
  • Executive presence. Ability to communicate with excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer relations skills with the ability to establish strong relationships with senior executives within established accounts and potential new clients.
  • Proven track record of revenue generation, client retention, and sales target achievement.
  • Leadership experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably aerospace.
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • MBA degree
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing, highly technical environments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Self-starter, team player
  • Willingness to be hands-on
