Country Site Security Coordinator

Role Summary:
Due to the level of security threat in some countries, or due to the size of GE operations, a Regional Security Director may appoint a security specialist to look after a designated region, designated sites or key security components within that country. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Regional Security Director in the implementation of GE Security & Crisis Management (SCM) policy.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Delivery of the GE SCM office programs across assigned facilities.
• Assist and support the Country SCM Manager / Director in delivery of SCM strategy across the region in liaison with the District Property Managers (key delivery being emergency response/fire protection, physical security, administration and reporting via the GE internal reporting system - Gen-suite).
• Assess and guide the implementation of local CCTV systems and access control.
• Support the Regional Security Director by conducting Security Risk Assessments and audits for existing and new office locations including making recommendations for access control, close circuit television (CCTV) monitoring and other security risk mitigation measures.
• Identify significant site security risks and design appropriate site risk mitigation processes during day to day operations.
• Assess the risk level and vulnerable points of the site(s) and assist the Site Security Lead to design guarding activity accordingly.
• Support, mentor and train Site Security Leads and Guards for implementing compliance tools, and management systems at sites.
• Assist the RSD in the coordination of appropriate journey management measures for GE employees and subcontractors working in/travelling to that country.
• Assist the RSD in the coordination of GE officer visits to the designated country/area. Note this may include escorting the VIP delegation.
• Through the Gensuite tool measure and report on SCM tasks specified in the Compliance Calendars, within specified time-frames. Report and identify un-mitigated risks and plan a mitigation strategy with the site management.
• Assist the RSD in developing and updating national Crisis Management and Evacuation Plans and to assist GE sites/businesses in developing Business Continuity Plans when required.
• Track that site Emergency Response Plans for GE and Client sites are in place and up-to-date.
• Assist the RSD in the processing of TAS requests for the designated country and running Traveler TAS reports if and when required.
• Assists in reporting security incidents affecting GE staff, premises and assets.
• Support Security team at times of Crisis, and transferred proper information to reduce possible risk and threats against GE employees and its interests.
• Provides general administrative assistance to the RSD.
• Maintains routine and confidential correspondence files/documents.
• Review, investigate security cases.
• Coordinate the implementation of all corporate security policy and initiatives for GE in Iraq, in cooperation with RSD for Iraq & Levant.
• Implement GE standards and expectations for site security, operations and activities to ensure the protection of executives, managers, employees, customers, stakeholders, visitors, etc, (both physical and information assets).

• Up to 5 years practical experience in Security& Crisis Management operations, and at least 10 years experience in the security industry.
• Working knowledge of local SCM regulations in terms of guarding, access control systems, surveillance systems and the Use of Force.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with digital online databases.
• Fluent spoken and written English & Arabic.
• Must be medically fit and healthy.
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, which includes reference verification and background check.
• Recognized academic/professional qualification in Security & Risk Management desirable.

• Ability to organize and focus teams, tasks and requests and manage sites/teams remotely. Project management skills would be advantageous.
