Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Support Line Manager to hire, train, guide, and manage qualified staffs within discipline/team
  • Team resources arrangement, daily management, performance management and report to Line Manager regularly
  • Responsible to team technology competency build-up
  • Establish company design standards and work practices for the team
  • Establish and maintain technical excellence and quality standards across product lines within team.
  • Manage product qualification and interface with suppliers for equipment packages
  • Ensure continuous quality improvement of team engineering deliverables
  • Review mechanical requirements specified in client’s RFQ and raise clarifications/deviations
  • Prepare, check and approve mechanical specifications for equipment inquiries
  • Provide technical clarification and evaluation of vendor’s technical proposals
  • Check and review vendor documents/drawings to ensure the quality
  • Ensure Lessons Learnt and Cost-Out activities be implemented in project and team properly
  • On time delivery
  • Support site team on technology issues solving during equipment erection, commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Prepare installation drawings and O&M manual of mechanical equipment
  • Defining and writing technical work instructions and design criteria
  • Contributing to task forces, failure investigations and root cause analysis
  • Other jobs nominated by Manager, Mechanical Engineering


Qualifications Required:


  • Knowledge of discipline deliverables and workflow
  • Good computer skills, CAD spreadsheets and organizational skills
  • Team Player
  • Demonstrates initiative, teamwork, professionalism and a commitment to quality
  • Impart knowledge clearly and concisely

·         Good communication and presentation skills

·         Commercial awareness

  • Proficiency in English
