Role Summary:
  • Communicating employee risk to Business management and alternatives for managing/minimizing risk for a joint validation and subsequent implementation
  • Validating, enforcing & guarantying the Regional EHS policy, programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and the GE Renewable Energy and Hydro EHS Management System
  • Ensuring proper setup of EHS for new operations in the Region as well as in any Business Joint-Venture or Acquisition due-diligence
  • Controlling and implementing an EHS Audit program based on GE Renewable Energy and Hydro EHS Roadmap and verifies required follow-up is completed at the Regional business level
  • Facilitating EHS Committees and promoting consistency among EHS programs in Region taking into account specific cultural aspects across the countries where GE Renewable Energy and Hydro operates are addressed appropriately
  • Managing region EHS community
  • Guarantying region EHS KPIs are compliant with GE Renewable Energy and Hydro requirements
  • Build and develop an efficient EHS team in HCN
  • Dramatically improve the EHS conditions for GE employee and other people working in our premises
  • Give independence and develop leadership of the EHS people
  • Reinforce the standardization of EHS processes and tools and optimize the interfaces between Functions and Regions


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, in Safety Engineering or environmental / industrial hygiene management (or equivalent) ……
  • 10+ years’ experience in EHS managements in international company with direct report subordinates
  • Previous experience working for global organization, with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of corporate EHS policies, procedures and systems
  • Excellent leadership skills with proven track record developing, motivating, mentoring and leading effective teams
  • Strong influencing skills and structure
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Change management competencies;
  • Office Software (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, Visio)
  • Lead the team more than 8 people is preferred 
  • Communication skills, continuous improvement technics, networking tools (SharePoint or others);
  • Management and leadership competencies
  • Action oriented/Creativity/Motivating others/Managing and measuring work/Drive for results/Planning;
  • Ability to develop team;
