Role Summary:
The Systems Test Engineer has responsibility to deliver customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory, and meet all applicable compliance requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop requirements, traceability and flow down to test procedures, CTQ identification and flow down
• Manage integration schedules, completing FMEAs, developing, executing, managing system and subsystem test procedures, managing customer feedback and providing issue support to manufacturing and the field teams
• Providing domain expertise to serve as the main integrator between the hardware and software functions to deliver a high-quality product
• Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement technology solutions on NPI programs
• Working with customers, marketing and field personnel to refine requirements which can be further decomposed by the engineering teams
• Delivering and incorporating feedback results into new hardware, software and service specifications
• Supporting installation, integration, and test coordination of new software builds during the program cycle
• Drive system and subsystem assessments and predictions during design development
• Make design recommendations to improve reliability and resolve conflicting requirements.
• Implement reliability growth and/or qualification tests to validate predictions
• Review necessary support documentation and maintain documentation for each test procedure in an organized fashion ensuring proper coverage to the requirements
• Offers suggestions to refine and automate test procedures; Prioritize and schedule testing based on program phase and priority
• Perform basic trouble shooting encompassing multiple variables and unknowns to achieve root cause analysis and problem resolution
• Conduct experiments and diagnostic tests, as required to draw conclusions
• Works independently and possesses a level of functional expertise necessary to influence and execute technical and project delivery execution
• Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving design outputs/program deliverables
• Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or closely related engineering discipline
• Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems
• Demonstrated problem-solving techniques
• Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to technical and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology
• Effective communication skills and boundary less behavior—ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
• Proficient in the use of software tools for analysis and simulation (MATLAB, etc)
• Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion
• Exposure to HW/SW/Systems design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc)

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, verification of previous employment, criminal history and educational background
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required, and we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
• Must be willing to work out of an office in Waukesha, WI and be willing to travel 10% as applicable

Desired Characteristics:
• Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering or other closely related fields
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter, energizing, results oriented and able to multi-task
• Demonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation
• Six sigma certified green belt or black belt
