Role Summary:
As our new Principal Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influence across executive leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to execute the strategy within CoE, across GE businesses, partners and customers. You may mentor one or more junior product managers.

Essential Responsibilities:
He/She will have in depth understanding of analytics concepts, and analytics technologies and companies in the market. The successful candidate will need a combination of business focus and demonstrated technical leadership acumen around implementing analytics in software systems.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop and design business and use cases, user stories and features around analytics offerings. Work with existing product owners to ensure appropriate analytics offerings are in place and latest technologies and capabilities are in use.
  • Effectively maintain, create, articulate, and continually evolve the teams strategic technical direction as it relates to analytics, with respect to evolving technologies, market trends, and disruptive activities while providing technical guidance to the leadership team, and evangelizing the technical vision in conjunction with the data scientist team.
  • External representation: Speak at events, and serve as liaison to GE Brilliant Manufacturing team operating as analytics subject matter expert at trade shows and conferences to better facilitate collaboration and communication with customers, partners, and GE Brilliant Manufacturing team.
  • Develop partnership relationships with incubators, agencies, and consulting companies to co-develop technologies in conjunction with GE Brilliant Manufacturing team.
  • Develop and manage the technology roadmap for GE Brilliant Manufacturing Analytics related products
  • Develop requirements and ensure insertion into products
  • Track competitive offerings, at the feature level and provide advice and positioning vis a vis the same.


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, or finance or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Must be willing to travel (40% - 50%)
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Redmond, WA


Desired Characteristics:
  • SME in Depth in data mining, visualization, and analysis
  • Understanding of Industrial IoT, and smart factory technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Data Visualization. Warehousing, and Big Data
  • Ability to Identify enabling and discriminating technologies and Intellectual Property (IP) required to achieve business objectives of the product area
  • Recognized authority in Data analysis and analytics (through experience, credentials, author, speaking, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with cross functional groups.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills

  • Aligns goals, feature sets, capabilities to business objectives for the product (i.e. Profitability, ROI, Market Penetration, Channel development, Brand Development, etc.)
