Role Summary:
Our VP Cyber Security will develop & lead the ongoing security strategy for GE Healthcare. S/he will influence across business group lines, interact & provide governance across all GEHC product orgs. You will develop a best-in-class cyber security function & lead a growing team of 30+. Essential Responsibilities:
As our new VP –Cyber Security you will:
  • Drive the overarching strategy for how GE Healthcare handles cyber security, risk and compliance challenges associated with GE Healthcare software/hardware products, Predix and the Industrial Internet.
  • Enhance security by design and own the security development lifecycle including the secure development lifecycle framework, policy and plan for GE Healthcare. This includes penetration testing and red team engagement management, training and security standards for product engineering.
  • Work closely with the GM – Cloud and Cyber Security and partner with technology and product leaders to have impact and influence over the strategic and technical direction of the function.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and thought leader for the organization, and contribute across the business in all areas of cyber security including product security, cyber intelligence, identity management, threat assessment, testing, etc.
  • Frequently present to top leadership in the business (CTO, CIO, and CEO) or function (IT Council, Sr VP) on technical strategy, industry trends and competitor insight.
  • Partner with customers to deliver on their outcomes and identify ways to position solutions to best deliver for the business.
  • Be comfortable in front of an audience and present both internally and externally on areas of expertise within cyber security
  • Bring expertise in addressing the significant challenges in identifying and hiring Industrial cyber security talent, as this segment of talent is in short supply and high demand.
  • Influence leaders across the various GE Business Units, as well as with customers/prospects.
  • Spearhead the relationship development and technology evaluation for new prospective partnerships and business development activity.
  • Drive evangelization and education of cyber security services by communicating the vision and value.
  • Analyze and solve complex business problems by leveraging industry knowledge and expertise and being a proactive thinker offering recommendations in cyber security to drive change and deliver results.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; STEM major preferred but not required. Equivalent work experience in
    lieu of an undergraduate degree is acceptable.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in information technology and security, with a minimum of 4
    years’ experience in cyber security within a software/high tech company.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team with a minimum of 5 years in a management
    position and senior management interaction.
