Role Summary:
As a member of a World-Class team the General Assembler HRLY is responsible for the optical assembly and manufacturing of GE Grid Solutions products. If you enjoy fishing, knitting, sewing, crafts or if you are good with fine motor skills activities, this is the opportunity for you!

Essential Responsibilities:
As the General Assembler HRLY, you will:

  • Perform production of optical fiber assemblies
  • Splice optical fiber in optical assemblies
  • Maintain records required for Quality management of the product
  • Maintain clean and well organized work area at all times
  • Notify supervisor and documents quality issues
  • Notify supervisor of Bill of Material discrepancies
  • Carry out other tasks that would assist the company in manufacturing quality products to meet the requirements and expectations of GE customers



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds when carrying items
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally lift equipment up to 50 lbs. (Safety equipment will be supplied.)
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally perform shift work, and or overtime

Please Note: the opening for this position are for 2 second shift and one first shift position

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents (including mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications)
  • Basic knowledge of measuring tools and techniques, and metric and American unit systems
