Role Summary: The lead systems engineer focuses on image optimization and algorithms development for ultrasound products, including system parameters design, image tuning, image noise reduction, acoustic power control…to meet clinical requirements and safety requirements as well as algorithm development for new features and to improve system performance. The systems engineer is responsible for ultrasound product image quality and algorithms’ performance.
Essential Responsibilities: • Responsible for image quality parameter design and optimization for Ultrasound product, and meet clinical requirements • Responsible for ultrasound acoustic field and beam profile analysis, acoustic algorithm simulation and design • Responsible for scan sequence and signal processing algorithm simulation and design • Responsible for new algorithms design for new features and new applications • Responsible for system acoustic power output control to meet IEC/FDA requirements • Responsible for system clinical evaluation with marketing and make the improvement based on evaluation results
Quality Specific Goals: • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required • Knowledge and understanding of document control, design transfer, verification, validation, acceptance activity, DMR, DHR and electronic signature requirements to ensure that product, equipment, tools, processes, software, training and documentation meet requirements
Qualifications/Requirements: • Master or PhD degree with 6 years’ above experience • Major in acoustic/physical engineering, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, signal processing or related area • Familiar with hardware noise analysis and signal processing • Ultrasound technology background • Experienced in VC++7.0 and Matlab • Good written and spoken English • Open mindset and easy communication and strong willing on team working
Desired Characteristics: • Acoustic field design and analysis experience is preferred • Basic knowledge of diagnostic medicine is preferred • IEC/FDA regulation (Acoustic Power Output, Probe Surface Temperature) knowledge is preferred
