Role Summary:
GE Digital is focused on transforming IT for the company to deliver better outcomes for GE at scale. CoreTech Solutions is at the heart of this change, re-defining our products and building, developing and enhancing our teams to deliver and support these critical products for GE. Digital Identity services are a critical part of how our customers and partners interact with GE.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role as, VP – Digital Identity Management Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, managing and optimizing the foundation for how our customers and partners, are authenticated and authorized to use GE platforms with a focus on Predix.

As our new VP – Digital Identity Management Solutions you will:

  • Responsible for delivering user interface authentication services, programmatic interfaces for authenticating apps, platform services for apps to define and manage their permission structures, and federated identity services for our customers and partners.
  • Be an expert on the digital identity domain, the market, the trends. Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going.
  • Provide regular metrics and reporting to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the services, facilitate appropriate resource allocation, and increase the overall maturity of our digital identity products & capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other functions including Commercial, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, & Privacy, to ensure that our solutions maintain strong security postures.
  • Drive hands-on technical leadership and execution as appropriate to ensure digital identity products are supported and delivered to meet expectations.
  • Lead and actively participate in defined operating rhythms focused on proactive product reviews for the Digital Identity product suite, including critical dependent products and programs.
  • Execute team management activities focused on employee recruiting, development, performance management, compensation and leadership
  • Assess, define and execute talent transformation plan focusing on technical talent growth, insourcing critical skillsets, talent recruitment, alignment and growth, in partnership with broader CoreTech Solutions strategy
  • Execute organizational oversight, aligning team for successful delivery and partnership with technology and business leaders
  • Manage product budgets and partner with product leaders & managers to maintain, analyze, adjust and plan as needed to meet commitments

    Success Criteria:

    Major personal performance objectives for this role in the first 12 months are:

  • Organization skill and capability assessment completed and turned into resource plan with critical skill gaps hired
  • Defined product and technology roadmaps for Digital identity solutions
  • Product solutions implemented for customer identity federation
  • Product solutions implemented for device identity assurance

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a “STEM” major or related field, or equivalent work experience)
  • 12+ years’ experience in Information Technology and 5 + years of leading people & teams
  • 5+ years’ experience of strong Identity & Access Management technical security knowledge/expertise, including 4+ yeas in leadership/management

    Desired Characteristics:
  • An understanding in IT security best practices with experience working against industry standards such as ISO, FedRAMP, HIPPA, etc.
  • Experience managing large scale middleware deployments such as Directory Servers, databases, web proxies, etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and / or hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of one automation technologies like Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Hands-on, technical experience with IT automation tools & techniques
  • Direct experience in engineering or product management roles with identity services, including direct experience with directory services, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP, client authentication services, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Demonstrated thought leader, delivering new, supporting innovation solutions to exceed customer expectations
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong relationship management ability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills at all levels of the organization as well as with external organizations.
  • Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve; creates actionable strategies and operational plans
