Role Summary:
The Senior Plant Manager will be responsible for leading plant-manufacturing operations for the GE Industrial Solutions operations located in Apodaca, Mexico. In this role, Candidate will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy, promoting a favorable and productive environment for all employees.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • • The Senior Plant Manager is the visible and active leader of the facility responsible for leading functions’ daily Operations.
  • • Drive site operations team towards execution of Business Goals
  • • Responsible for planning, coordinating and directing all Operations and Services functions at the facility.
  • • Monitor & improve cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality & compliant manner
  • • Meet business and region production and quality goals
  • • Foster well-trained and motivated staff
  • • Lead a highly professional staff and over 800 hourly employees.
  • • Drive culture change in the plants moving to a skilled workforce steeped in technology and automation
  • • Ensure all production schedules and meet customer’s delivery and quality expectations
  • • Select, train and develop all product leaders and staff
  • • Provide leadership for executing New Product Introductions (NPIs)
  • • Ensure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments
  • • Be responsible for driving continuous improvements in factory yield
  • • Drive Product Quality and Lean to ensure that internal business metrics are met
  • • Develop & create training plans to maximize workforce capability
  • • Continually improve RK metrics
    • Conduct employee performance reviews
  • • Foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employees
  • • Drive growth and change in a fast-moving, high-energy environment
  • • Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, inventory and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
  • • Continually develop, mentor and coach individuals and teams and have a strong succession plan for future talent in the plant
  • • Drive Lean implementation to become a Brilliant Factory within the business
  • • Become a compliance example for the business by performing weekly round tables to engage staff and full team into company policies



Qualifications/Requirements:
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • • Significant experience in manufacturing Management in high mix -high volume environment
  • • Meaningful experience in plant management is required
    - Minimum of 10 years of work experience with management roles in manufacturing or supply chain.

  • • Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, variable cost productivity, and fulfillment metrics, quality systems, cost systems, and fulfillment metrics, and procedures

  • • Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high morale, employee involvement, safety and teamwork in a non-union environment
  • • Lean trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor
  • • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex, global, unique and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • • Proven ability to prioritize, plan and execute important business and supply chain initiatives. Proven leadership skills (experience successfully managing people / projects / issues)
  • • Demonstrated ability able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • • Change agent with energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change
  • • Clear, strategic, and critical thinker; proven experience in translating strategies into actionable plans
  • • Clear communications; proven experience in communicating at all levels of the organization and with external customers
  • • MBA or Masters in manufacturing / business / engineering
  • • Six Sigma certification (GE Employees only)

  • • Language bilingual Spanish and English
