The Senior Contract Manager for East Region (Russia, CIS,Turkey&Israel) will provide contract management support for the Power Services business in the region focusing on cash flow, margin improvement and risk mitigation programs.The SCM will support execution of complex service projects as part of the Europe Legal team, in close cooperation with contract execution teams.Responsibilities will include contract risk assessment and mitigation, as well as negotiations with
•Collaborate with regional OTR teams across the region, evaluating contractual risks and
developing risk mitigation programs targeting growth, improvement of projects and cash flow,
profitability and customer satisfaction.
•Maintain accurate and updated copies of contract and key project documents (LOCs,
subcontracts, contract addenda and assist the development and maintenance of contract
document archive and filing systems across the business.
•Supporting project teams by ensuring they possess a full understanding of contract provisions
including a “clear” understanding of who does what, when and how in order to help GE meet its
contractual obligations and to deliver the objectives required of the contract
•Support OTR and project teams to ensure necessary controls are in place to administer contracts,
such as establishing project correspondence registers, events registers, claims registers in order
to mitigate commercial risks whilst helping to realize and maximize commercial opportunities and
to maximize the commercial return of cash flow, revenue, profit,
•Ensure preservation of GE’s rights and entitlement as provided in the contracts.
•Support project, OTR and purchasing teams in establishing project sub-contracting philosophies
including assisting purchasing teams to develop forms of sub-contract thus “flowing down” key
terms to subcontractors where required
•Support execution of complex service projects in cooperation with Service Managers and Project
•Develop strategy and negotiations for dealing with major commercial / contractual and subcontractual
•Drive introduction and engagement of contract management best practices across the region.
•Maintain liaison between OTR and ITO and arrange experience return from OTR to encourage
and facilitate implementation of lessons learned.
•Manage change order registers and processes and support negotiation of change orders.
•Provide contractual analysis and interpretation on project commercial issues, develop and drive
resolutions to closure.
•Identify and drive margin opportunities to closure.
•Support the project teams by overlooking that appropriate insurance policies are in place for
assigned projects and pursuing and obtaining appropriate insurance claim recoveries.
•Identify potential claim exposure risks; develop and implement innovative defence and mitigation
strategies and customer-focused solutions.
•Manage claims to / from customers, partners, insurers, subcontractors and major equipment
suppliers in collaboration with project execution teams, Legal and other interested functions.
•Involve the regional Legal team on legal issues as necessary.
•Collaborate with Legal as required in the event of actual or potential disputes.
•Participate as a member of the wider GE Contract Management Community
•Bachelor Degree in Law, or Engineering, Construction Manager with appropriate Law degree and
with admission to the Turkish bar.
•Minimum seven (7) years of Contract Management or Claim Management experience or
negotiation/handling experience in extended scope and equipment contracts.
•Minimum two (2) years of claim management / negotiation experience on Power Plant contracts.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Turkish. Russian or Hebrew is a

•Ability to convince and reach agreement in a multicultural environment.
•Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently.
Familiar with power generation service industry.
•Prior working experience in Projects Contract Management organization.
•High proficiency in Customer, Subcontractor, and Consortium Contract Terms and Conditions,
and risk assessment and allocation strategies.
