Role Summary:
This role will provide a full range of administrative support to Product Management Leadership. The position will interface with all levels of the organization, including leaders globally. This position will work very closely with the Executive Admin to the Head of Development.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Organizing and arranging schedules, calendar management, extensive global and domestic trip planning, expense processing, meeting scheduling (both in person, telepresence and conference calls), and various other events
  • Managing all types of daily correspondence to ensure professional, accurate and timely response and appropriate prioritization
  • Organizing materials in relation to meetings: collecting and compiling information and coordinating delivery
  • Drafting of correspondence
  • Processing invoices and purchase orders; acting as a liaison with Sourcing and Finance to ensure bills are paid accurately and on time.
  • Anticipating, identifying, analyzing and solving issues/conflicts independently and discretely
  • Support with general office administration, including telephone coverage, mail processing & distribution, file set-up & maintenance, ordering office supplies and equipment
  • Support teams in planning and execution of internal and external events, including scouting locations and coordinating scheduling, accommodations, AV needs and catering
  • Providing support to the team as needed with travel, meeting coordination, preparing Powerpoint presentations, and ordering supplies
  • Special reporting and projects as required.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school diploma
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as administrative assistant or office coordinator role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Houston, TX


Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills; familiarity with video conferencing and scanning
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and professional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated professional interpersonal skills – high level of motivation, integrity, self-confidence and ability to take initiative
  • Extreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organized
  • Demonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Collaborative team player with proactive approach
  • Ability to ensure security of confidential information – discretion and confidentiality required
  • Familiarity with GE business operating rhythm and processes
  • Experience working in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Experience working in a venture capital or private equity firm
  • Experience with a global company
