GE announced they signed a definitive agreement to sell the Water & Process Technologies business to SUEZ, a services and solutions company with global operations primarily in water and waste management. The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. This includes hiring strong talent to help the business grow and be successful. GE is targeting to complete the sale of the business by mid-2017.

Role Summary: The Technical Sales and Service Representative will work for GE Water & Process Technologies in NE Wyoming. In this role, you will serve as a Technical Sales & Service Representative. The primary industries served will include Refining, Mining, Mineral Processing, Power, and Oil & Gas. This is a customer facing sales role that is responsible for maintaining a customer base, fulfilling service contracts, and winning new business.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will work with the Area Manager and Regional Engineers within several customer and prospect locations. You will be responsible for effective account management, provide preventative equipment maintenance, selling products, services, solutions. This position includes ‘hands on’ mechanical work, troubleshooting, calibration, optimization, and installation of equipment. You will be expected to develop your personal technical knowledge regarding customer industries & processes, as well as GE solutions, products, and systems.
As the Technical Sales and Service Representative, you will:
Be part of a team focused territory growth and account management
Build and maintain customer relationships, earning respect, and the right to sell more product at their sites
Determine customers' needs and provide effective technical service to resolve issues
Support customers in generating ‘value driven’ service
Support refinery chemical treatment for oil processing as well as finished product additives
Support cooling, boiler, and chemical feed systems / controllers – maintain, calibrate, repair, optimize, and install
InSight – Wireless, Web Based Knowledge Management – install associated equipment, configure, optimize, and maintain
Provide recommendations to improve reliability and profitability
Make recommendations for continued growth and improvement
Participate in operational meetings to communicate GE activities and prioritize work scope
Collect and test water / process samples at accounts, analyzing / interpreting results
Learn, respect, and maintain awareness of all customer safety & environmental practices
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Chemistry from an accredited university or college (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in sales)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
Strong mechanical aptitude, having the ability to work on equipment, low-voltage power, electronics, piping, valves, tear down and reassembly
