Role Summary:
North America Wind-Services is a business experiencing tremendous growth, doubling in size from 2016 into 2017. The Lead FP&A Operations Analyst will have all responsibilities for Spare Parts, including the planning and tracking of earnings, properly stated GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) financials, and partnering with operations on strategic imperatives.



Essential Responsibilities:
You will work with the Renewable Energy Global Supply Chain function to drive inventory initiatives. You will also work to develop impactful business-level analytics, drive process simplifications, work with commercial teams to track new orders, and maintain all relevant controllership standards.

As the Lead FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) Operations Analyst, you will:

  • Manage $100M Spare Parts P&L (Profit & Loss); develop estimates, analyze variances, and report actuals
  • Partner with operations on strategic decisions to drive top line growth and margin expansion
  • Optimize pricing on Parts to drive greatest level of margin enhancement, prioritizing those items with intellectual property owned by GE
  • Work with Services Product Line in-order to drive sales growth, margin expansion
  • Act as Services Finance FP&A manager for $500M NAM (National Account Manager) Services business; partner with NAM Services, Onshore Headquarters (HQ), and Global HQ to communicate actuals, plans, and ad hoc business requests
  • Own Services Supply Chain activities, support Global Supply Chain and Inventory leaders; develop cost estimates, drive cost out, and manage Global Obsolescence reserve
  • Develop analytics and reporting for NAM Services Balance sheet
  • Manage $300M+ of external collections and $80M of inventory
  • Act as controllership point of contract for Parts operations
  • Own Simplification
  • Look for daily opportunities to make work more efficient
  • Develop ad hoc strategic analysis requested by for NAM CFO (Chief Financial Officer)


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance position

  • Relevant experience in finance field
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process skills
  • Leadership program experience (OMLP (Operations Managemant Leadership Program), FMP (Financial Management Program), CAS (Cost Accounting Standards), ITLP (Information Technology Leadership Program)) (GE Employees only)
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to energize teams and perceive change as an opportunity
  • Driven to deliver quality results within challenging timelines
  • Proficient with advanced spreadsheets, databases, and/or reporting applications (Tableau)
  • Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse and highly matrixed environment
