Role Summary:
The UT Field Service Representative will provide services that will range in scope from performing standard maintenance, trouble-shooting, and calibrations of GE Inspection Technologies: Ultrasonic Testing machine hardware and software products at GE and customer locations.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of UT Field Service Representative, you will:

  • Maintain and repair industrial ultrasonic systems and supporting peripheral equipment
  • Perform electronic certifications of GE ultrasonic equipment
  • Provide customers with technical support via phone and onsite service
  • Be responsible for timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements
  • Be responsible for driving customer satisfaction from commitment through quality service standards
  • Monitor site safety during work scope execution

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution and a minimum of 4 years of oil & gas industry experience)
  • Minimum 2 years of oil & gas industry experience

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 70% of the time, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
  • Ability and willingness to possess a valid driver's license and passport (or ability and willingness to obtain a passport)

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge in diagnosing electronic hardware problems, mechanical problems with CNC table, software troubleshooting in a windows-based environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to read and write
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Strong Computer skills with familiarity of MS Office products, data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, and email as well as company specific software like Datos™
  • Able to read/understand schematics and use oscilloscopes/digital multi-meters
  • Fundamental electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills
  • Strong background in PC repair (hardware & software), working knowledge with PLC’s
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of GE Inspection products and services (Ultrasonic Testing Machines) (GE Employees only)

    PLEASE NOTE: Lewistown, PA is the preferred location, however other U.S. locations may be considered.
