Role Summary:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing practical and innovative software solutions for our clients.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Software Engineer, you will:

  • Work with clients to identify needs and implement software changes to satisfy customer expectations
  • Enhance user Interfaces, core calculation engines, and support the advancement of our product suite
  • Actively participate in a working environment where teamwork, quality, customer service and innovation are prized
  • Participate in sales and marketing activities, including customer presentations
  • Participate in software QA process and development of QA processes
  • Train users on the application and use of software products


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in power systems or equivalent degree with focus on power systems
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in electric power planning software development OR a minimum of 1 year of programming experience in an engineering-oriented language
  • Knowledge of transient stability simulations
  • Knowledge of EPCL’s or other equivalent scripting language
  • Experience with creating user defined dynamic models of power system components
  • Knowledge and experience of C, C++ or Fortran


Desired Characteristics:
  • Familiarity with GE PSLF (Positive Sequence Load Flow)
  • Knowledge of numerical techniques
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using PSLF (Positive Sequence Load Flow)
