Role Summary: The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing practical and innovative software solutions for our clients.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Software Engineer, you will:
Work with clients to identify needs and implement software changes to satisfy customer expectations
Enhance user Interfaces, core calculation engines, and support the advancement of our product suite
Actively participate in a working environment where teamwork, quality, customer service and innovation are prized
Participate in sales and marketing activities, including customer presentations
Participate in software QA process and development of QA processes
Train users on the application and use of software products
Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in power systems or equivalent degree with focus on power systems
Minimum of 1 year of experience in electric power planning software development OR a minimum of 1 year of programming experience in an engineering-oriented language
Knowledge of transient stability simulations
Knowledge of EPCL’s or other equivalent scripting language
Experience with creating user defined dynamic models of power system components
Knowledge and experience of C, C++ or Fortran
Familiarity with GE PSLF (Positive Sequence Load Flow)
Knowledge of numerical techniques
Minimum of 1 year of experience using PSLF (Positive Sequence Load Flow)
