Role Summary: The Quality Engineer will lead quality efforts on new Medium Voltage product line. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing design changes to ensure there are no quality escapes, recalls, or service interruptions.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Quality Engineer, you will:
Lead first piece inspection of all fabricated and purchased parts for the new Medium Voltage (MV) product line localization
Own all MV supplier or in house quality issues during production
Finalize QAI and MOI’s for MV
Develop quality improvement initiatives for MV product
Partner with other business functions on quality reviews for new designs
Provide QC set-up and support in tendering and execution phases of Engineering Procure Construct
Oversee fulfillment of contractual and regulatory requirements to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction
Capture lessons learned to continually improve execution processes
Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision
Focus on performing tests (eg NDT) and defining controls (eg SPC)
Ensure correct alignment with quality requirements
Ensure that manufactured or procured products meet specified standards
Verify / Check positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM program from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)
Minimum of 2 years experience in Quality
Minimum of 5 years experience in Quality
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
