Role Summary: The Sr. Director Enterprise Applications will be responsible for the conception and execution of strategic plans, architecture, and solutions for driving innovation in GE Power PMAX ERP platform. This is the largest ERP platform within GE and will host the three largest P&Ls within GE Power.
Essential Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will develop innovative Solutions around mobility, artificial intelligence, analytics, etc. to bring the latest and greatest in technology to develop a more resilient and business outcome based ERP platform. This candidate will develop a global team in partnership with the Digital Hubs to integrate with the Digital Killer Applications and create a reference architecture that can be leveraged externally with our customers as well. The candidate will also develop strategy and roadmap to drive innovation within the SAP ERP space by leveraging SAP solutions like Fiori, HANA and others that will ease the day in life of a typical ERP user.
The candidate will collaborate with all levels of business stakeholders to implement initiatives that optimize business performance. The candidate will be expected to have 10-15+ years of SAP ERP experience and will be responsible for communicating with key stake holders in a highly matrixed environment across GE. The candidate should possess the ability to quickly ramp up new projects with cross-functional skills to ensure on time delivery of new software ERP products. The candidate must be a problem solver, and possess excellent verbal, and organization skills.
In this role you will: • Provide vision and design for a robust, flexible, scalable innovative SAP Platforms • Expertise in cross functional SAP domains like Finance, Sales and Distribution, Manufacturing and Services • Experience in the conception and execution of strategic plans and deploying solutions at a global scale • Collaborate with the Digital Hubs to define and implement the architecture of Digital Killer Applications • Effectively engage global teams and expert peers to develop and deploy designs and standards across the SAP ERP space • Drive projects and initiatives to implement mobility and digital solutions within the SAP ERP landscape • Partner with the SAP BI team, Digital Data teams, etc. develop and implement the analytical/reporting strategy over the SAP HANA/BI platform. Build cockpit views for the HQ team and build canned reports for some common metrics across GE Power. Example: Backlog, OTD, Inventory, Obsolescence, etc. Develop and deploy a self-service platform for the P&L reporting needs, where the P&L teams can define P&L specific reporting. • Act as a technologist to support leadership to drive the vision of a digital enterprise ERP for the future by partnering with SAP and other global teams. Align the platform maturity along with the business roadmap and roll out schedule. • Program and Project management responsibilities, including client communication, schedule and cost management/tracking, prioritization, and presentation of deliverables • Continuously strengthen own technical expertise. Teach and mentor peers within team of developers and architects to develop their technical expertise.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a technical area (Architecture, Software, or Information Technology) or (a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Information Technology or Software).
