Role Summary:
As the GE Oil & Gas Digital Senior Staff Product & Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for the design and execution of effective pricing strategies and tactics that will ultimately deliver optimal customer outcome and maximize the business performance of our Oil & Gas Digital product portfolio..

Essential Responsibilities:
You will partner with the GE Digital Global Pricing team and Oil & Gas (O&G) Digital’s Commercial organization to drive Commercial rigor and enable process simplification for quick Commercial turnaround and achievement of O&G Digital’s orders, revenue, and contribution margin goals. You will also be responsible for contributing to the development of and the implementing of a data-driven culture within the O&G Product Management organization by building a systematic analytics framework linking market data with the O&G DIgital financial performance and enabling analytics-driven decision making in planning & budgeting cycles and ongoing profitability discussions. As the Product & Pricing Analyst for the O&G Digital product portfolio, you will serve the industrial world’s most demanding customers, deliver optimal Go-to-Market strategies through continuous learnings empowered by data, explore new business models to grow the O&G Digital ecosystem, and enable the achievement of O&G’s revenue & profitability targets. You will lead our efforts by building a deep understanding of customer needs and industry dynamics through market and product data/analytics, designing a pricing structure that delivers great customer engagement experience and outcome, and optimizing the financial performance of our business driven by data science and analytics rigor, a set of capabilities which are essential to our success.

  • Accountable for defining the pricing strategy of the new O&G Digital portfolio that aligns with O&G and GE Digital’s product positioning and Go-to-Market strategies, encourages ecosystem partnership, and drives optimal consumption behavior in the market.
  • Leverage industry best practices and lead initiatives such as license to SaaS conversion model and ecosystem contribution & pricing structure to remove friction of market adoption and encourage the participation in the Predix and O&G Digital ecosystem.
  • Drive competitive analysis that provides an understanding of how O&G Digital’s price and offering compares to others and integrate with win-loss analysis; Continually monitor industry dynamics and trends, and anticipates impact of the change.
  • Track and drive profitability analysis based on pricing strategies and decisions.
  • Provide ongoing support to the O&G Digital Commercial organization to enable Commercial activity and ensure deal velocity & momentum. Design & execute programs to promote pricing transparency within the Commercial organization to drive understanding, and establish feedback mechanism from the field to input in ongoing pricing analysis & improvements.
  • Drive simplification and automation of pricing processes to improve overall Inquiry to Order Process.
  • Lead the analysis on pricing and billing at product level to ensure the overall financial healthiness of the O&G Digital product portfolio.
  • Provide thought leadership and execution around building a sustainable O&G Digital financial model in line with business growth opportunities and vertical/regional strategies, and establishing an ongoing mechanism to operationalize the model supporting business planning cycles & enabling commercial performance evaluation.
  • Drive an objective and analytical process to support strategic decision-making with GE O&G Digital Leadership team; Leverage external data such as market shifting trends, customer behaviors and internal data such as deal wins/losses to identify O&G Digital business opportunities & best Commercial practices.
  • Professionally challenge cross-functional teams to substantiate and defend investments in order to ensure acceptable ROI thresholds are met and performance accountability is understood, accepted, and can be measured objectively.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Finance, Marketing or Business Administration (MBA)
  • Minimum of 8 years of pricing experience and/or minimum 8 years of product management and business intelligence relevant experience
  • Experience in cloud services

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

  • Must be willing to travel roughly 20% of the time.
  • Open to candidates throughout the US, though strong locations are Boston, Chicago, and San Ramon.
