Role Summary:
The Lead Business Analyst for Life Sciences IT will understand business and customer requirements, validate ideas, build business case and identify feasibility.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Map product specifications to product features. Defines product roadmap and delivery of continuous product value. Manages development and delivery and authors requirement document.
  • Convert business needs into functional specifications to define product criteria. Documents functional and product requirements for a complete product or component/module. Ensures that all requirements are met. Converts functional specifications into stories and work units to define product criteria. May be responsible for the creation of an entire product.
  • Have a solid understanding of business process in CRM (customer relationship management), Service Operations (how field engineers service equipment), and customer services.
  • Collaborate with Centre of Excellence, Project Manager, Solution Architect, Data Analyst, business functional process owners to identify business needs, prioritises the most critical needs that delivers maximum value for users and customers, designs business process improvements, validates product features meets business needs, and delivers solution with quality.
  • This role will report to the global Lead Business Analyst for Commercial and Digital in Life Sciences.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Outstanding communication in English working in a global English speaking environment.
  • Strong relationship builder – ability to influence, collaborate and communicate with IT colleagues and business functional process owners.
  • Strong and proven business process understanding and mapping ability
  • Strong focus on business process and driving business transformation across a multi-functional environment
  • Ability to learn complex systems and business processes and define requirements for solutions
  • Understanding of contemporary IT & digital technologies and how to apply them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to interface and influence business stakeholders and technical centre of excellence
  • Experience of implementing contemporary commercial applications such as Salesforce.com, Servicemax, Oracle, SAP.

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global and matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven track record in documenting business requirements and technical specifications
  • Proven experience of participating a mid sized project and program, and to be seen as a true peer by his/her business colleagues
  • Capable of acting as a true change agent and communicating effectively with stakeholders across a complex matrix environment
  • Solid understanding of CRM system and processes
  • Proven experience of working with internal center of excellence and external vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Analytic, creative and business-focused problem solver
