IT Infrastructure Leader – LATAM South Cone

Role Summary:
Dynamic technical expert who can execute on a variety of analytical and technical assignments. Should be mission and outcome oriented and comfortable working seamlessly in teams of teams to get things done. The role will have day to day accountability for operational support for existing services / users and be responsible for the development and implementation of new services. The role will cover LATAM South Cone countries (Chile, Argentina and proximity).

Essential Responsibilities:
• Act as single point of contact for all infrastructure services in Region (Network to Digital Workplace)
• Participate in day to day IT infrastructure support to the end users including desktop & laptop support and installations, voice and mobile support, IT asset procurement and inventory maintenance,
• Collaboration with GE Digital IT organizations and providing onsite support to the remote teams. Actively working with GE Digital team on managing the remotely managed infrastructure,
• Executing assigned IT projects defined in the IT infrastructure project pipeline
• Provide consulting services to IT program and project teams
• Lead and/or participate in IT Security awareness activities
• Works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business
• Day to day management of the IT Infrastructure & responsible for ensuring availability, integrity and performance of all Infrastructure operations
• Provide co-ordination of Incidents, Problem Management and Change Management with our internal IT service providers and partners to minimize impact to the business. Closely liaise with GE Digital teams on all Infrastructure operations
• Understand and maintain industry and financial services related governance and compliance policies and procedures
• Stay up to date on relevant infrastructure developments & industry trends
• Act as a subject matter expert within IT for Infrastructure services
• Support IT infrastructure need in LATAM South Cone
• Frequent travel in LATAM South Cone.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting large enterprise network infrastructure, monitoring tools and ITIL management tools.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting Microsoft Windows platform and technology
• Hands on Infrastructure specialist with strong experience of managing infrastructure systems and services of a medium to large end user IT application.
• Demonstrated program management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication
• Must be able to quickly build a high level understanding of new technologies.
• Must have good people skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Experience of working in a matrix environment with team members located globally.
• Intense attention to details, while maintaining an accurate, results-oriented mentality.
• An ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment
• Excellent oral & written communication skills at all levels
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and build a healthy team atmosphere.
• Ability to be self-led and can work in an environment where local colleagues are cross-function, and that functional management is located overseas.
• Willing to work weekends to support major change implementations

• Knowledge of network environments and concepts such as TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server technology and infrastructure platforms including Windows server operating systems, messaging, and databases (SQL)
• Knowledge of technical analysis, implementation, configuration, and upgrading of network infrastructure consisting of Cisco network LAN, WAN equipment and Cisco Wireless Infrastructure
