Role Summary: GE Digital is transforming IT and the company at large to drive real business outcomes through technological innovation. The Staff Enterprise Application Engineer will drive the modernization of our mulitfactor (MFA) suite and lay the groundwork for a seamless user experience across all of GE.
Provide technical expertise to support enterprise programs and initiatives to improve multi-factor and authentication solutions
Provide technical thought leadership across teams and organizations
Partner with the team to design and develop technical solutions for multi-factor authentication
Work with a team of architects and developers, operational leads and functional owners to plan and implement technical roadmap
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with shifting priorities; must be comfortable with change and actively driving improvements
Understand how new technologies impact the current environment
Champion the adoption of new technologies and drive the implementation into the GE environment
Ensure continuous availability of platform(s) via engineering, planned maintenance, and break- fix
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a releated field. In lieu of degree, at least 5 years of applicable IT experience.
5 years of experience in information technology
5 years of experience managing enterprise class remote access or user authentication products, including familiarity with installation, configuration, design, and troubleshooting.
2-3 year demonstrated experience working across the Identity and Access Management or Privileged Access Management functional area.
Must be willing to work out of an office in Glen Allen, VA

Ability to navigate and perform light scripting in Linux/Unix environments
Ability to perform light Java programming
Experience with automation products (Chef/Puppet)
Experience with RSA Authentication Manager (ACE/Server)
Experience with RADIUS servers
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
Highly organized and self-motivated
Experience with network access/authentication protocols
Proven ability to learn and adapt to new products quickly and comprehensively
