Role Summary: The Strategic Marketing Leader is responsible for continued evaluation of current marketplace dynamics including market potential, competitor activity and disruptive technologies within the rapidly changing global cell therapy market. This position also has responsibility to identify and evaluate potential key growth areas, recommending potential new opportunities for the current product portfolio. Additionally, this position will be assigned to a variety of projects based on business need.
Performs industry trend analysis, market share and competitive analysis
Identifies and determines the market opportunity in adjacent spaces to cell processing, cord blood banking or point-of-care market where the current product portfolio can be
Provided market insights and analysis for business development opportunities
Develops and executes on market research plans to evaluate market opportunities for the Cell Therapy business
Works closely with regional Field Marketing and Commercial teams to closely track market place trends, competitive activity and customer needs
Identifies potential new business models
Works closely with Product Management and R&D to provide input to the product development roadmap
Defines brand nomenclature, value propositions, and competitive positioning claims roadmap for new products
Develops relationships with key professional societies to identify key opinion leaders and new technologies
Develops GE’s Cell Therapy corporate brand strategy including developing positioning, value proposition and core messaging and partners with Advertising & Promotion and Communications to develop a communication strategy
Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Responsible for ensuring legal and regulatory approval of all marketing communications prior to external release
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or scientific discipline;
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in marketing, product marketing or related field
Marketing expertise in market & customer insights, product commercialization and branding
Experience managing a global brand or product portfolio
Strong project management skills and cross functional collaboration - able to collaborate effectively with various functional partners
Strong influencing skills – ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence
Strategic thinking – able to independently design/identify ideal approach to answering complex business questions
Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
Masters of Business Administration
Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
Independence- able to manage workload with limited guidance and support in prioritization
