Prepare annual standard product costing profile update and routine workflow requests for plant/warehouse costing updates/extensions

The plan to divest the business is a strategic decision that provides an opportunity to reposition the business for growth and further invest for long-term success. Water & Process Technologies will operate business as usual through this process and will continue to meet its commitments to its valued customers and employees. This includes hiring strong talent to help the business grow and be successful. GE is targeting to complete the sale of the business by mid-2017.
This role will be responsible for insuring the integrity of all financial transactions relating to daily and annual development of standard product costing and the revaluation of inventory. PPV/POV analysis is also part of this role. Additionally the analyst also works together commercial/product and sourcing in costing projects/issues.
This role requires cross-functional engagement, ability to understand and analyse complex accounting, finance, and operational processes.
Daily product costing
Own and update all Water CMS standard product costing policies and procedures
Support Commercial/Operations & Product Mgmt. on pricing, bids, and costing issues
Ensure controllership and consistency of standard costing process across all regions
Drive GAAP compliance through regional/operations teams
Prepare and analyze make versus buy analysis (insourcing)
Own production process order settlement and PPV/POV analysis
Respond to client ad-hoc requests for customized data and reports in a knowledgeable and flexible manner
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
Significant experience in a Finance/Accounting analyst role
SAP experience is a strong benefit
Proficiency in Excel and MS Office
Supply Chain finance experience
Proficiency in Excel & MS Office
Strong oral and written communication skills
Advanced level of English (both written and spoken)
Demonstrated ability to anticipate, identify and resolve complex financial issues
Proven excellent analytical abilities
