Role Summary:
The Field Service Support Technician position exists within the PII Pipeline Solutions / GE business to support field operations with mechanical / electrical tool maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Field Service Support Technician, you will:

  • Perform a Preventive Maintenance assessment of all ILI tools and equipment received from the field, and completes the necessary documentation (Assessment & NCR forms)
  • Conduct modifications to inspection tools and equipment within specification
  • Maintain all electronic support equipment received from the field (Recorders, battery packs, timer boxes, scopes, multi-meters, function generators, replay computers, printers, etc…)
  • Ensure all electronic test equipment is calibrated annually and conforms to ISO 9002 procedures
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to levels 1, 2 and 3 procedures
  • Perform commissioning, produce calibration data tapes and commissioning print-outs for Preventive Maintenance records
  • Complete and update all forms for Quality Control (QC), electronic, mechanical and preventative maintenance and files documentation with Maintenance Team leader

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 2 years of Mechanical / Electrical experience

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
  • Ability and willingness to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Technically inclined Electronic / Mechanical knowledge with problem solving capabilities
  • Possess a team player attitude, with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Computer skills for e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, and processing expense reports
  • Forklift certification
