Role Summary: The Production Scheduler will provide direction and assistance to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: · Develop production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and proactively set levels of manufacturing output · Communicate across multiple departments to effectively coordinate operations between manufacturing production and sales · Work with Inventory Planners offsite to ensure deliveries meet customers’ expectations. · Print load letters for weekly deliveries · Coordinate with Lead Operators to convert planned orders to process orders · Review the system report and coordinate with Customer Service to ensure customers’ expectations are met with respect to package and bulk orders · Create weekly metric charts and focus on metrics in order to meet delivery performance targets · Coordinate with Material Planner and Lead Operators to ensure appropriate raw material is in stock; minimize QC hold, blend off, and return material · Support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts · Manage daily and long range scheduling while maintaining productivity cost controls
Qualifications/Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in production scheduling) · Fluent English · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail · Ability to multi-task · Understanding of DOT and HOS rules with respect to Delivery Shipments · Strong customer mindset · Ability to coordinate workflow through the production cell · Ability to work directly with vendors and suppliers to obtain services or products in expected timeframe · Strong oral and written communication skills · Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
