Role Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will work to ensure manufacturing efficiency, quality and safety while supporting business objectives, which can affect some short-term and long-term business goals. Support for work which is less defined in scope by utilizing sound maintenance techniques to effectively control cost and maintenance activities. Develop and execute objectives for self and others working to ensure completion of day-to-day inspections, maintenance, repair and upkeep of plant equipment.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :


  • Lead by example in all GE initiatives including EHS, HR, Six Sigma, Quality, and computerized maintenance management
  • Responsible for the completion of planned and unplanned maintenance work for a 24 hour PSM facility utilizing CMMS Maximo
  • Work with the engineers, operations, and maintenance in the development and implementation of job plans to establish proper task sequence, duration, craft, tools, materials and parts to properly execute the job in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner
  • Responsible for the calibration testing, maintaining, upkeep and repair of critical systems by ensuring compliance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality codes and standards (API, ASME, OSHA, ISO, etc.)
  • Work with operations and maintenance members in creating and maintaining detailed job plans for preventive, predictive, and improvement maintenance activities for plant equipment, buildings and grounds; including cost, time, resources, tools, materials and parts
  • Support and lead equipment improvement projects to reduce unplanned equipment downtime and to improve equipment metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness and Cost Reduction
  • Self-motivated to get the solution with reasonable amount of time and financial support
  • Attend and provide input to weekly meetings with Production and Manufacturing Engineers to plan, coordinate and schedule asset availability for upcoming maintenance activities

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 15 years of experience working in maintenance at a chemical / nuclear plant {including having held maintenance management / supervisor positions})
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :


  • Ability and willingness to work off shift as required
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export - controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills: Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the development and implementation of maintenance related programs in a PSM chemical manufacturing plant
  • Ability to plan, schedule, organize and continuously improve maintenance activities
  • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university with a minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience (chemical or nuclear plant preferred)
  • Preferred : Minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience supervising mechanical, electrical and outside contractors in the completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Ability to effectively use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Maximo (preferred)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement process preferred
