Role Summary: You will be responsible for leading engineering projects for the technical development of specific products, components or systems. Projects may be related to new product development and introduction, production problem investigation and resolution, customer / field problem investigation and resolution, or technology development.
In addition you will :
Overall ownership and accountability for assigned project(s) from launch through completion.
Establish and lead IPDT to design, develop and validate assigned products; establish and maintain project schedule and budget.
Lead internal and external design reviews and responsibility for closure of all assigned action items
Meet all project deliverables including drawing package, design reviews, hardware, test plans & reports.
Provide monthly project status to business leadership; support NPI Reviews and Monthly Report generation.
Work with Marketing and the IPDT to identify and manage out of scope items
Define and manage development cost and resources throughout the development effort
Define and manage development and production unit cost throughout the development effort
Development of designs per the Design Template and in compliance with the Unison Engineering Manual and all applicable Engineering Standards and Practices.
Drive design changes to accommodate / improve producibility.
Coordinates Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations to resolve Production / Field issues.
Disposition of Material Discrepancy Reports and Engineering Change Request.
Authors Engineering Changes as needed.
Provides a technical communication link with Customer or Supplier as required.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics from an accredited university or college
3 years experience in an engineering role or leadership program.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
