Role Summary: The Healthcare IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the implementation of GE Healthcare (GEHC) Digital solutions for hospital and major healthcare clients. Our portfolio comprises an exciting range of industry leading Healthcare IT solutions and services. The Project Manager works directly with clients across ANZ and GEHC employees to plan and execute projects on schedule and within budget that achieve high customer satisfaction and reputation growth for GEHC.
Essential Responsibilities: Facilitating and coordinating, as well as tracking, of day-to- day activities required to ensure the project is completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with agreed client expectations, organizational goals, departmental policies, and/or the terms and conditions of the client’s contract. Ability to concurrently manage complex Healthcare IT projects from the small through multi-million dollar / multi-year implementations. Writing project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities. Develop and manage project within hours, timelines and financial budget. Leading Project and Steering Committee Meetings. Responsible for tracking and reporting on project resource time utilization and time recording. Managing revenue forecasts associated with client projects. Acting as an effective team leader for all matrixed staff involved in project delivery. Maintaining alignment between the project team, GEHC personnel, external resources and client resources involved in the project. Establishing strong working relationships with clients and managing client expectations to ensure customer satisfaction. Communicating all of the requirements and commitments (both verbally and in writing) for each project with clients, GEHC staff and management via an agreed set of protocols such as frequency, level of detail. Creating project status reports for all assigned clients and internal GEHC stakeholders. Managing client and GEHC stakeholder escalations and facilitating resolutions. Adopting a proactive approach to identify risks to project success and create and maintain a project risk log; develop effective action plans for resolution as early as possible. Participation and contribution with pre-sales activities such as major tenders.
Qualifications/Requirements: Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills Proficient in the soft skills necessary to be an effective project manager. Proven leadership and effective decision-making capabilities Negotiation skills/experience for IT centric projects. Proven project management experience in complex environments. Ability to monitor and manages critical path elements of consolidated projects Ability to manage all aspects of customer service, customer satisfaction, and contractual commitments Ability to make formal presentations (internal and external). Ability to work and communicate with multiple levels in a client organization from the technical leads through to executives. Demonstrated capability in utilization of project management tools and systems common in large global multi-nationals and our client organizations. Experience in managing revenue generating projects with complex acceptance criteria, multiple milestones.
Desired Characteristics: Experience in implementing large scale Healthcare IT solutions with RIS / PACS / VNA experience being highly desirable. Extensive background in managing projects for public health and government clients. PMI / ITIL certification is a plus. Demonstrated and Strong Healthcare Technology experience coupled with sound commercial acumen. IT Qualifications in Information Technology, Network / Data Centre infrastructure, Medical Devices, Project Management. Bachelor degree: Computer Science, Information Technology, Medical Sciences, Engineering, Project Management. Demonstrated Change management skills Results and data driven approach with strong capability in use of project management tools. Demonstrated experience in quality management and/or Lean tools will be valuable. Problem resolution and creativity in solution development 3rd party Vendor management experience Experience effectively managing multi-disciplinary team members in a matrixed organization. Ability to effectively balance the needs of clients and the company. Accustomed to managing and communicating locally, internationally across multiple time zones with remote stakeholders and support teams.
