Role Summary: This position will be responsible for leading the machine connection strategy for the CMC business spanning from engineering design through our high rate production site. In this role, you will develop the cross machine and cross factory standards for communication and connectivity. Work with factory technical resources to execute tooling connectivity including activities for virtual manufacturing; sensor enabled manufacturing technologies, as well as factory and supply chain optimization.
In addition you will :
Interpret program strategy & translate into actionable activities at a factory level
Develop the technical standards by which factories will connect their machines and tools
Coordinate and execute the connection of machines and tools to the GE Network at a plant level
Collaborate with the Engineering and Low Rate Production labs to develop standards for new machines and tooling
Establish a cross factory change control process and ensure its integration into the business
Provide advanced support to the Controls & Connectivity Technician at the factories
45% Domestic travel
Collaborate and partner with the larger Aviation Brilliant Factory team, the Global Research Center (GRC), the GE Software CoE and other industry leaders to develop and execute strategic initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science, engineering, or electronic discipline from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering

Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 45% of time
Master’s degree in a computer science, engineering, or electronic discipline from an accredited university or college
Ability to lead and support multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated clear thinking, inclusiveness and collaboration skills
