Role Summary:
Key position responsible for supporting Analytics Leader in development of best-in-class, market-consistent structures and methodologies. Role will provide technical expertise and guidance to transactional and risk teams engaged in structured transactions, securitizations, and monetizations. Role will also lead development of valuations and, where needed, new valuation techniques to support day 1 and day 2 business assertions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for day-to-day management and review of various capital markets transaction economics across multiple platforms and asset classes.
  • Partner with transactional, GE and GE Capital business and risk leaders on potential new structured transactions both domestically and internationally.
  • Support analytics development of non-traditional capital markets solutions for GE Customers.
  • Support Analytics Leader in developing structuring methodologies and relevant financial models consistent with Credit Rating Agencies or other market-accepted methodologies.
  • Interact with 3rd parties to gather market intelligence relevant to comparable 3rd party transactions to support valuations of financial instruments comprising GE Capital structures.
  • Lead Review of Day 1 Structure models…communicate / explain results to GE Customer, Analytics Leader and senior management.
  • Focus on building technical expertise in financial modelling, structuring, rating agency stress testing and fixed income analysis across multiple asset classes.
  • Support GE Capital balance sheet optimization and capital allocation decision-making process by analyzing structures across several financial and capital measures.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 + years Capital Markets experience focused on structuring across multiple asset classes
  • Must be willing to travel to / work from London office as transaction work load necessitates
  • Strong Financial Engineering skills, including use of Microsoft Excel
  • Fundamental understanding of securitization accounting


Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline.
  • MBA degree.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with 3rd party analytical software such as Intex Dealmaker, Wall Street Analytics, and Yield Book.
  • Strong ability to analyze and evaluate date, formulate accurate conclusions and develop actions plans accordingly.
  • Legal documentation: Prior experience evaluating legal documentation
  • Deal skills: Prior experience leading transaction teams; experience in cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, or financial analysis.
  • Collaboration skills: Works effectively in cross functional and matrixed team environment.
  • Communication skills: Clearly articulates view point verbally and in writing, fostering confidence when sharing/ presenting information.
  • Dependability: Reliable, responsible, dedicated, committed, and fulfills obligations.
  • Takes initiative: Understands deal process and proactively completes subsequent steps in the deal process. Reaches out to others if unsure.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Prioritization skills: Balances workload and prioritizes effectively. Able to manage self and time to meet commitments.
  • ABS buy-side experience
