Role Summary:
The Value Stream Leader will have an interest in an opportunity to transform Electrical Equipment manufacturing operations to flow cells / lines and then lead value streams. In this role, you will continue to transform the Mebane Plant to a Center of Excellence.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Value Stream Leader, you will:

  • Own of a business across entire value stream from fab release to shipment to end customer
  • Lead diversified team of assembly, fabrication and quality technicians to manufacture, test and ship complex electrical equipment
  • Prioritize dedicated fabrication cells and assembly lines to meet customer needs
  • Understand your load / backlog and convertible sales per quarter and develop staffing / resource plans needed to execute
  • Own Lean Trilogy and drive continuous improvement of operations to create / sustain flow and drive productivity and delivery reliability
  • Interface with commercial operations and sales engineering teams to communicate priorities, status of jobs, and proactive communication of issues
  • Own all aspects of people leadership for the business you are responsible for


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading in a manufacturing environment or product development

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening


Desired Characteristics:
  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing with completion of a GE Leadership Program (GE Employees only)
  • OMLP (Operations Management Leadership Program) graduate (GE Employees only)
  • Strong Lean background and experience transforming operations to flow cells / lines
  • Excellent project tracking and detailed planning skills
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer oriented mindset
  • Strong ability to work within a cross functional team and influence decisions
  • Computer literate and skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience implementing lean assembly, fabrication and materials processes
  • Prior experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) / DFA (Design for Assembly)
  • Prior experience in an automated assembly plant
  • Able to present Technical Information
  • CAD (Computer Aided Design) / CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) experience
