Role Summary:
In the role of Application Engineer, you will:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Specify, configure and/or design appropriate product offering to meet customer’s process and instrumentation requirements
  • Review customer’s technical specifications, including formal RFQ's (Request for Quote), working closely with Commercial Managers to prepare detailed proposals for competitive solutions
  • Define all special product requirements in support of quotation generation and order acceptance
  • Be the primary factory contact for technical and application support for customers and field sales force
  • Support the Sales team with technical meetings, presentations, demonstrations, etc at customer sites
  • Perform detailed technical review on new project orders, working closely with Commercial Managers, Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure smooth and timely transition to Supply Chain for effective order execution
  • Provide post sale application troubleshooting and support of existing equipment
  • Provide support to Product Management & Sales teams during product line and application training sessions
  • Communicate important market trends and voice of the customer information back to the business as input for business strategy and product development

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%, as required

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to interface effectively with multiple functional teams
  • Proactive work ethic and energy
  • Effective team contributor and member
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with process/industrial instrumentation
  • Direct customer contact experience
