Role Summary:
The Current salesforce is comprised of dynamic sales professionals who possess entrepreneurial spirit, know how to serve the customer and work collaboratively. This position will work with local agent networks to ensure promotion of Current lighting products and service throughout the assigned territory.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :


  • Agent engagement: Improve connectivity and engagement Agents in assigned territory
  • Build strong relationships
  • Cultivate a learning culture with Agents
  • Constantly reinforce the value of the GE franchise
  • Educate Agents on Current value proposition, NPIs, features, advantages, and benefits of our products
  • Create and deliver effective presentations that highlight the competitive advantages of our products, new product developments, current market opportunities, and the corresponding product solutions
  • Conduct end-user market assessment including current revenue and supplier, installed product base, Current share and potential revenue value
  • Prioritize coverage of top end-users / specifiers and build a solicitation plan for a focused target list to create a pipeline of near and long-term opportunities
  • Develop strategic, long-term relationships with key decision makers at end-user accounts
  • Deliver lighting solution proposals to C-suite and other members within the end-user organization
  • Use dollarization and other sales techniques to secure a commitment to execute the project
  • Utilize Salesforce.com fully as a tool critical to tracking process of all leads and ensure accuracy of data in effort to drive sales focus of distribution network
  • Conduct joint sales call support with Agents as appropriate
  • Identify key contractor customers and build relationships to grow preference for Current products
  • Partner effectively with LSRs, Marketing, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Strategic Account teams to enhance territory coverage and maintain positive customer relationships

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, industrial distribution or sales related discipline from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience (including commercial experience in a distribution model)
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience (or 2 years commercial experience in a distribution model)
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in lighting industry within a distribution model

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :


  • PLEASE NOTE : Work Location listed is Other, CA (Preferably San Francisco or Northern CA)
  • Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Minimum of 3 years successful sales experience (or 2 years successful commercial experience in a distribution model)
  • Executive Presence / Relationship Development: ability to develop and build relationships at multiple levels with Agent partners and internally within GE
  • Persuasive skills to influence decision-making process
  • Experience developing and executing a detailed planning process to successfully drive market share and sales growth
  • Ability to clearly present and articulate a value proposition
  • Ability to effectively identify and qualify prospects in new market areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify new market opportunities
  • Prior distribution management experience
  • Technology Utilization: Proven ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite or related tools, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Solid technical aptitude and ability to sell a technical solution
  • Self-starter; ability to work with little direction and within a team environment where the performance of others affects success
  • Results driven with a sense of urgency and strong follow up skills
  • Experience working in a team environment where the performance of others affects personal success
  • Ability to call at the C-suite level
  • LEED AP, LC, or Energy Mgmt Certification
  • GreenBelt / BlackBlack certified
