Role Summary:
Supports profitable commercial growth for the PeriOperative (PeriOp) and Maternal Infant Care (MIC) segments, ~$450mm Orders/Sales, and four LCS Regions (Dallas, Houston, Pacific-Northwest, Los Angeles, Rocky Mountain), $340mm Orders/Sales. This role provides leadership on day-to-day commercial activities, supporting the PeriOp, Ambulatory Surgery Center and MIC GMs and LCS Region Managers along with simplification projects to streamline financial processes across the business.

Essential Responsibilities:
Given the content covered in this position, there are frequent interactions with LCS Sr. leadership (Comm’l GM, CFO, Comm Ops) and the USCAN finance organization which provides great exposure, learning and development opportunities.

Duties include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead execution of Commercial Finance deliverables for weekly/monthly/quarterly financials and communicating results
  • Provide insightful financial analytics, metrics, and communication to management team in order to support business decisions in an effort to drive growth through backlog conversion, price, and profitability analytics
  • Provide necessary analytics to highlight key business performance drivers; Identifying risks and opportunities throughout the quarter and developing processes to mitigate risks while capitalizing on opportunities
  • Leading and / or participating in simplification projects that will facilitate and increase capacity for value-added financial analysis
  • Work with Finance Managers and operations leaders to drive opportunities for improvement in variable cost and base cost productivity
  • Participate in GE Healthcare Finance/Business planning cycles including Strategic Planning Cycles, SII /Operating Plan
  • Drive consistent use of key financial tools across LCS organization including OSB/OBIEE, Hyperion, GLA, etc.
  • Coach and mentor iGate analysts


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 10+ years financial work experience ;
  • OR high school diploma / GED and 10 years progressive financial work experience


Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
  • Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
  • Strong PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications such as Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc. Strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (pivot tables, Vlookup, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
  • Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment
