Role Summary: Lean Challenge is a great opportunity GE offers to University students to learn and apply the Lean Manufacturing discipline in a world class manufacturing operation.
By participating in Lean Challenge you will join a team of 3 members of the University to compete against other University teams.
Over the course of six weeks, your team will improve a production line from one of our local sites. The most successful teams will present their final projects to our Business Leaders.
*Improve a real project for our company in a short period of time using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
*Each team will have a GE’s Role Model Leader as coach/mentor whom will ensure the team's performance & goal accomplishments developing functional & soft skills.
*Competencies to develop:
+Presentation & influencing skills
*Active student of any Engineering.
*Availability to work full time during summer (June 01 - July 27)
