Essential Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for architecting, planning and building applications within the Wise/GE machine learning application framework to bring state-of-the-art AI and machine learning technology to high value use-cases within the GE family. You will be working with world class data scientists, engineers, designers and domain experts in small functional teams with access to larger pools of experts across all fields.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience OR at least 2 years of experience in an accelerated program in a technical field

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Must be willing to travel (10%)
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Francisco, CA
  • Pursuant to the Los Angeles/San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records


Desired Characteristics:
  • Expert Python programmer
  • Extensive experience with SQL and noSQL databases
  • Experience with Big Data and distributed data and compute systems
  • Industry experience building web applications (basic HTML, CSS, JS)
  • Good understanding of operations (compute and network infrastructure)
  • Experience with Git and modern programming workflows
  • C++ experience
  • Advanced Javascript
  • Good sense of UX and design
  • Product and team management experience
  • Machine learning knowledge or experience
