Role Summary: The T&A Technician's primary responsibility will be the assembly of mechanical and electrical components, to support manufacturing shop operations.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of T&A Technician II - 2nd shift you will:
Work to standard operating procedures, bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instructions from Supervisors, Engineers and Quality Assurance to established procedures
Perform assembly operations to produce complete product using build to print construction
Read and interpret drawings, or standard work instructions
Perform assembly operations to produce complete product
Use various fixtures, hand tools & special tools, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, modify, measure, cut, drill, adjust, test, or repair products
Work near voltage (460v– 6600V) and high pressure testing (up to 6000psi)
Perform quality control visual inspections or functional operation of material or product before and after assembly
Utilize good problem solving and troubleshooting skills to check electrical and mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure compliance with Company Quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required
Notify supervision discrepancies of work orders, material lists, assembly instructions or equipment malfunctions
Coordinate / communicate with managers, supervisors, leads, engineers, quality assurance, planners, purchasers and warehouse personnel as required
Maintain shop equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary
Perform on the job training and assist other employees, departments and facilities as required
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing and assembly
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
