Role Summary:
Post-sales support of customer issue. This can include repairs (both returns and field), technical support or a field service or other service request.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Repair Engineer, you will:

  • Own the resolution of post-sales technical customer issues. Level 1,2,3 Technical Support –
  • Resolve post sales Technical Issues; as the technical depth required to resolve an issue increases, the “level” of skill set increases; for some products 1 individual may handle levels 1,2 and 3 while for other products these may be separate individuals with increasing skill sets
  • Develop an operational year plan for the own department activities
  • Suggest improvements in products, processes and procedures
  • Contribute to plan of larger unit
  • Work together with high level people from the business and SPB and EB level
  • Specify needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done; diverse clients in a region
  • Work on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks, some latitude to deviate from those conditions

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution and a minimum 7 years of experience in Design and/or Reverse Engineering including minimum 2 years of experience in technical support)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Design and/or Reverse Engineering including minimum 1 year of experience in Technical Support

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Compression or Industrial Engine industry experience
  • Proficient in AUTOCAD
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
