GE Digital is looking for a Software Engineer in Test to work on the Predix Application Development team, building next generation HMI/SCADA applications that work on-premises and in the cloud.
You will be responsible for developing test tools, scripts and infrastructure to aid in the delivery of a feature or feature set, ensuring that it meets all requirements. You will create automated tests, work on continuous integration and work as a part of a scrum team. You will contribute to the team and work with direction from the Senior Team Members and over time, work independently.
In this role you will:
Collaborate with technical product managers and system engineers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Work across all application layers, including GUIs, middle-tier and the data persistence layer
Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent experience.
Up to 2 years of professional experience delivering commercial software, either on-premises or hosted in the cloud. Recent college graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Ability to design and document test plans and test cases.
Experience with source code control and build and continuous integration tools and virtualization (Gradle, Jenkins, Git, SVN, VSphere/HyperV)
Understanding of webservers (Tomcat, Node.js) and the internet technology stack
Experience with concurrent and load testing concepts and tools is highly desirable.
Have a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
